Testimonials

I have to say that happening upon Jason’s Blue Chip Training program has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences. I was an NCAA All-American in college and walked into my first Blue Chip class assuming it would be a run of the mill boot camp and that it would be a good warm up. I have never been happier to be so wrong. Jason’s classes are as, if not more, demanding physically and mentally than any other training program I have done, high school, college, and beyond. He takes the time to understand the strengths, weaknesses and motivations of each of his students to create programs that include not only intense weight lifting and cardio sessions but also yoga classes and nutritional guidance designed to enable each of us to excel and push ourselves to what we think are our limits, then step in and help us push past them with his calm and positive yet intense and motivational messages to help each of us believe in ourselves and our abilities a bit more. I have seen incredible changes in my own strength and mental toughness that have led to performance improvements I did not think possible since I started working out with Jason and my only regret is that I did not start earlier.

I can't tell you how happy I am with your services. Our first discussion when meeting, you asked me why I don't stick to any program or work out and you called me out and told me I don't hold my self accountable. Ever since that conversation I have held my self accountable and not only that, the team we workout with is so supportive, the work outs are amazing I have increased my endurance, my eating habits are better and I no longer need anxiety medicine, I just workout instead! My life is changing and I am so happy I wouldn't be we're I am at right now if I never came to the boot camp at Mentor High! Also I have lost 2 inches since oct even though I couldn't workout for a whole month during surgery. Thank you so much I have been meaning to tell you that! You are a great trainer :) I tell everyone I meet to come to classes lol

My name is Katie White. I am the Head Volleyball Coach at Perry High School. My team and I have been training with Blue Chip Strength for two seasons now and there has been a noticeable improvement in my athletes. Blue Chip Strength’s staff is caring, compassionate, enthusiastic, encouraging and their expertise and knowledge about life, health, fitness and mind/body/spirit is the best I have seen. I plan to continue our partnership because they deliver great results!

Player Input:

“I enjoy the workouts because they get me motivated for the volleyball season.”

“Jason encourages us to push ourselves and be the best we can. He worked with us last year and I believe he really made a difference!”

“I like workouts because they get me in shape for summer and the volleyball season. They are fun even though they are tough!”

When I first began training with Jason and the boot camps, I thought I was in "relatively" decent shape.  Well, it didn't take but a few moments to realize I needed more help than I thought.  I started doing outdoor camps in the fall of last year in the park and then moved to their indoor location in February of this year (2010).  I feel I've come a long way since February in particular.  I've gained a lot of strength, flexibility and most importantly ... confidence.  To be honest, I used to get nervous before each workout because they were hard (but fun) and I didn't think I could get through them. For those of you out there who are hesitant or think they cannot do it  - you have to start somewhere and take one workout at a time.  You'll be surprised how fast you gain strength and confidence in yourself.

Don't wait another day to get started, of course it s going to be hard.  But if it were that easy, everyone would be in shape.  You have to set goals and challenges for yourself every day.  What could possibly be more important than your physical and mental well-being!?!?!

I have been overweight my whole life. I finally broke the cycle in Sept of 2007 when I had gastric bypass surgery. The whole process is more than meets the eye, physically and mentally.

In April of this year, I got an e mail about boot camp. I laughed about it, and decided to try it. I have quit most fitness classes, had no motivation to do videos at home, and did not want to join a gym.

The 1st night, I trained with Jason, and cried when I got home. I had no idea I was that out of shape. I guess I thought since I lost that weight, I would be fine. He told me "in 3 weeks you will see a difference". He was right. The physical changes have amazed me. The mental/ emotional changes are beyond words. I have a passion with fitness that I didn't even know existed. I crave the high that I get when I am done with my boot camp. I want to push my body to the limit every time I go..... instead of quit in the middle.

I have been going through a transformation the past 3 years, and boot camp is completing the process, both physically and mentally.

Thank you!   Roberta

I started training with Jason around 4 years ago.  When we met, I didn't know what to think or what to expect.  I've never worked with a personal trainer or strength & conditioning coach before.  But within 2 or 3 days we clicked and I've never second guessed the decision.

His training is as much mental, emotional and spiritual as it is physical.   He has a unique ability to explain 'why we train' better than anyone.  He taught me how to eat, run, and lift (workout) for my body type.  He taught me what "full go," really means.  He taught me how to "quiet the chatter," to lock in on the task at hand and regain focus in moments of chaos and confusion.

I am better person today having gone through so much of my training with Jason.

I have been overweight most of my life, but now, in my mid-20's, I'm in the best shape I've ever been and it's absolutely thanks to the total athlete, and especially Jason. When I started working out with Jason I couldn't do much- I had no clue how to work out, and it was such a chore to me. But Jason is extremely talented at what he does and he really helped me to enjoy working out as my "me time", which is a mentality I would have never achieved without his help. In fact, I followed him to his new facility after he left the previous facility he had trained me at because I knew he was the best!

The most enjoyable thing for me is the personal attention I get. Jason really takes the time to get to know each of the members and find a target or goal for them that keeps them interested in coming back, no matter what fitness level they are at. I actually feel guilty when I miss a BootCamp class! The classes are challenging, but tailored to everyone's needs. Although some days are challenging, it's definitely the easiest and most fun way to get a great workout in and see results. I have brought many friends to The Total Athlete and all of them have loved it and keep coming back!

Since working out with Jason, I've been able to lose another 25lbs (almost 60lbs total) since I started working out 3 years ago. The training continues to challenge me so I am able to break through my plateaus and get in buff bride shape for my wedding next summer! :)

My testimonial: In September of 2008 I purchased a gym membership. Granted I worked out in highschool, I was going to go back the gym after quiet some time. I was at a loss of what to do to get myself back into shape. So I looked into getting a personal trainer. Now when I think of a trainer I think of all the guys I see yelling at their clients trying to "motivate and push" them. I began to dread that I even signed up in the first place. However, by some miracle, the person I signed up with was no longer there and Jason picked me up as a client. I'm not going to lie at first he intimidated me but as I began to talk to him I realized he was a really great guy. I felt comfortable with him and felt I could ask him any questions or concerns I had about working out without feeling stupid.Even more comforting, Jason pushed me, gave me motivation, and made me feel comfortable in the gym atmosphere. I feel hes very knowledgeable in his industry of fitness and I know if I have any questions I can ask him and he'll have an answer with a great explanation to my question. To this day I continue to work out with Jason. I am in a lot better shape,I am more comfortable in the gym working out, and  overall I feel a lot more knowledgeable about my health and fitness. If you have the opportunity to have Jason as a part of your work-out routine I would definitely go for it. He's worth your time and energy.

I started working with Jason after I had lost several pounds on my own, but I had reached plateau.  So I signed up to work with a personal trainer not only to lose more weight, but  also to tone and build muscle. By working with Jason, I am well on my way to exceeding both of my goals.
Jason has a way of pushing me further than I would have ever dreamed of going.  I lift heavier weights and work harder on my cardio workouts than I ever thought possible.  I never imagined that I would be able to leg press 270 pounds or run a mile, without collapsing, after working with him for only 8 months.
At this point I have lost almost 50 pounds, but gained more energy and an active life style.

After being a member of my gym for the past 4 years, I started to get bored with my workouts.  Jay put together a series of workouts to change up my routine and target specific areas and muscle groups.  Additionally he assigned physical and nutritional goals to keep me on track.  Not only has this change been fun and challenging, but I’ve also gained strength and increased tone.  Jay is dedicated to his training.  He constantly checks on my progress and is always pushing me to the next level.

Jason takes a personal approach to each client. As someone with Rheumatoid Arthritis, my energy level varies. Jason assess my condition prior to each workout & adjusts it accordingly. He never lets me give up on myself & is truly a great trainer & coach.
